Innovation Charter School (ICS) will begin accepting new applications during our 2023-2024 Open Enrollment for grades K-5 from February 1st to April 30. ICS will enroll an eligible student who completes the application with an emergency form and health form unless the number of applications exceeds the number of seats available for any grade level.

If there are more applicants than available space, then a lottery will be conducted. All applications submitted within the Open Enrollment period will have an equal opportunity for admission, regardless of whether they are submitted on the first day or the last day of Open Enrollment.

For more information regarding lottery preferences, enrollment, and registration, please view our Lottery Rules and Procedures.

On May 1, in an event where the number of applications exceeds the available seats, a random lottery will be held. If a lottery is required, the lottery date will be announced and then, ICS will notify parents of the lottery results within two weeks. Students who are selected during the lottery will have 7 business days to return paperwork to be fully enrolled at ICS. Those who are not chosen in the lottery will be placed on a wait-list by grade level.

Students who are selected during the lottery will have 7 business days to return paperwork to be fully enrolled at ICS. Those who are not chosen in the lottery will be placed on a wait-list by grade level.

Students who are currently enrolled at ICS do not have to go through the lottery process, but families will be asked to complete an intent to re-enroll in a timely manner.

ICS may give enrollment preference to the following student populations:

  1. Students who are siblings of a student enrolled or accepted in ICS.
  2. Students who are children of a member of the founding board of ICS (so long as the total number of students allowed under this exemption constitutes only a small percentage of the school’s total enrollment).
  3. Students who are children of an employee of ICS.

An application with a completed emergency and registration form must be returned to ICS via electronically or to the office before April 30th to be eligible for the Open Enrollment lottery process for 2020-2021.

The school office is open Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30pm.  If there are more spaces than students for each grade, all students will be given 7 days to return a signed enrollment letter.

ICS will continue to accept applications for all grades after Open Enrollment. If the grade is full or if there are available seats, we will follow the same process, in which, your child’s name will be added to the waitlist via a subsequent monthly lottery that closes on the first on each month.

Students who are selected during the lottery will have 7 business days to return paperwork to be fully enrolled at ICS. ICS will not accept students on a first-come, first served basis but will follow a random lottery process as required by Florida State Statute 1002.33.
